BA: Joyful Night

"Mimi would have liked this..." Fuyumi murmured, gazing around at the decorations. Emily had been working hard these past couple of weeks to prepare for the dance and make it look good--and it had paid off. Everything looked great, and everyone was enjoying themselves. While she couldn't see her redheaded dorm-mate, she could guess Emily was with Katou right now. She hoped everything would turn out okay, for everyone here.

She made her way over to the tables, deciding to stay well away from the dance floor. After all, they didn't have to dance, and it was nice to sit back and relax sometimes. If she wanted to, she would talk to others when they sat down. They would need a rest at some point...

She tugged briefly at her skirt, then readjusted the sleeves of her dress slightly, feeling they'd slipped a little. Nao had done a good job with making the dress fit her needs... She wouldn't want anything getting tangled in the wheels of her chair, after all.

A couple came inside, and she briefly looked up, to see Atsuki come in with her date. Aww, Atsu looks so cute! I didn't think she'd look so good in a dress... Fuyumi thought, smiling. Truthfully, everyone she'd seen so far was looking nice, and everyone fit the theme--blue seemed to be the main colour tonight. Still, there was enough variation that everyone stood out in their own way. I guess I can just watch the events unfold--that'll be entertaining! She rubbed her hands together, grinning to herself. With so many different personalities, something was bound to happen.

She wasn't sure how long had passed, but the night was starting to feel like it was dragging on, just a little. While some her fellow schoolmates had said hi, most of them were partnered up with someone, and so she was often left alone to watch as everyone else had fun.

Fuyumi rubbed her eyes, briefly looking up from the table, hearing someone approach.

"Ah, Fuyumi. I wondered where you would be." Risa smiled at her, pulling a chair closer and sitting down next to the tired girl. "Are dances not something you enjoy?"

"...They should be something fun..." Fuyumi grumbled, sitting up straighter, "But I feel useless here..." She pouted, looking up at Risa. "Sure, whatever Jubilee and "Tarot" set up was amusing, but it didn't last long."

Risa thought for a moment, then leaned over and ran a hand over Fuyumi's hair, making sure to miss the bow in it, "Where's Nao or Midori? I'd have expected you to go with either of them."

"Nami's with Jay-Jay and Mimi's stuck in bed 'cause she was too sick to come. I mean, Nami's happy, so I don't want to interfere there." Fuyumi yawned, then took her glovelets off and placed them on the table. She picked up an empty cup, fiddling with it. "I wouldn't be surprised if they went for some alone time, given they're a couple..."

Risa laid a hand on Fuyumi's shoulder, deciding it was best to stay with the youngster. Fuyumi looked on the verge of falling asleep, and if that happened, someone would have to tell Nao.

Not long after that, it became clear Fuyumi had stayed up a tad too late, and so dozed off, head resting on crossed arms on the table.

Risa smiled, noting how peaceful the blonde looked, instead of her usual demeanour. Now she was going to have to inform Nao, so that Fuyumi could be brought back to bed. It was just finding Nao that would be the fun part...
